The name of this blog is derived from my cat’s name, İncir, which translates to "fig" in Turkish. I called her İncir because figs are my favorite fruit and are associated with a plethora of memories starting from my early childhood.
This one-minute post is the prelude to fig tree reverie.
Given the opportunity, unexpected things can emerge in a person. Eventually, you might find yourself inclined to grow constantly and confront your internal inertia.
Thanks to my inner self-loving being and the inspirational people who surrounded and encouraged me to break my safety nets, I was galvanized to create something new, do activities that nourish me, and touch my close ones’ lives to elevate them in some way.
I can say the “outgrowth” in me started some years ago. The muse hit hard so sweetly, and it was everywhere. The painful satisfaction felt a bit weird because, I guess, you don’t always immediately recognize a beautiful transformation. You still feel the tendency to remain unchanged for a while. Looking back, though, it should be amazing to see how much you evolved after all.
Here, in an effort to occasionally nurture myself by writing, I will attempt to reach the "proudly looking-back" point of my story by sharing fragments of my ever-changing life, mind, and soul.
